Dream about the Rebbe

Postby BarDaas on Sun Jan 11, 2009 4:09 am

I had on Thursday night a dream about the Rebbe.

I was in the Rebbe's shul 770 and the Rebbe was in the front speaking. (I don't remember if he was speaking to everyone or just individuals). I could feel the powerful holiness of the Rebbe. For some reason I decided to move away, to the opposite end of the shul 770.

I was standing there, now far away from the Rebbe (it's a big shul if you've ever been there). The Rebbe was now a small figuer in the front of the shul, I couldn't hear him and could barely see him. But I was aware that in a spiritual sense the Rebbe filled the whole of 770 and it didn't matter where I was standing. The same powerful holiness of the Rebbe, like a Divine Spiritual energy. I realized that the little figure of the Rebbe in the front wasn't really the Rebbe it was just like a sort of "puppet" so that people could relate to him.

Then the figure of the Rebbe wasn't there any more (I don't know if he left or just disappeared, but in any case he couldn't be seen any more). But even though the Rebbe's figure was gone the feeling of the Rebbe filling the whole shul was still there. The spiritual energy (kedusha) of the Rebbe was still there, and it didn't really matter if the "puppet" was there or not.

I woke up with a big jolt of energy!

And as a result of the dream _____________.

I had dreams of the Rebbe, too, though not all of them were as pleasant as yours seems to be.

The Rebbe said he never appears in a dream without his permission.

Not sure how anyone can have a "bad" dream of the Rebbe ??

Bar Daas I can relate to the "jolt of energy" from the dream, that's exactly what I get when I dream of the Rebbe.

Can you source that?

Not bad, just not pleasant. Kind of scary, actually.

Why was it scary? What happened in it? If the Rebbe came in a dream, there is a message there, but maybe you can't figure it out ?

Too personal for a forum. I figured it out- it was quite obvious; I didn't like it at first, but I listened (after a year and a half, lol). Nevertheless, it was still creepy.

You're right, dreams are personal, but I was just curious :)
And the Rebbe made a special point of telling someone that he never appears in a dream without his permission, so you can feel very honored that you had the dream. It's a big zchus.

I know I'm right; I'm always right. :) Thanks for admitting it.
Curiosity killed the cat, you know....

I do, but that doesn't cancel out any of the other stuff I said (and make that plural).
