Besides some wild speculations about the Great Zimbabwe fortress http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/israel/zimbabwe.html and that perhaps it had been built by a lost Tribe of Israel http://www.bh.org.il/Communities/Archiv ... Tribes.asp and http://www.factmonster.com/spot/israel1.html there is no direct connection between Zimbabwe and Am Israel and therefor no reason for posting about this country other than that the people there right now need redemption more than ever.
I would wish to post on it nevertheless and ask your opinion because through bizarre circumstances I' ve been following this situation for years.
And by the way, on this forum there have been sporadic posts on side issues such as riots in France and Australia, floodings in China and America or burning fuel depots in the U.K.

The absurd circumstances were that I happened to once write a letter in a local - yet well known - newspaper about apartheid disappearing from Southern Africa. I wrote that although this being a good thing Mr. Mbeki and Mr. Mugabe were making a mess of their self rule with amongst other things Mbeki's remarks about HIV/AIDS and Mugabe's drastic land reform.
This letter was publicised on 31 January 2002 In the ' Gooi en Emlander' newspaper and was in fact also related to Mr. Mandela's attendance at the controversial Royal wedding of H.R.H. Prince William Alexander Of Orange and Maxima Zorigueta daughter of an Argentinian Junta hot shot. I argued that good and bad are really mixed up and that we don't judge to easy - about Mr. Zorigueta - but better take example in Mandela and his forgiving attitude. Nowadays I might be thinking a bit stricter or less tolerant towards evil by the way. I might just have been trying to score some browning points ! Spaghetti structure dialectics aside the letter was received very well though.
Absurd part is that only half year later when in fact I had just been on-line a few months I received an Email from The White Farmers Union Of Zimbabwe that they needed me to transfer money out of Zimbabwe towards safety in Europe. Ofcourse I found out just in time that it was all Nigeria Spam to begin with. But these fraud mails were not well known at the time and what a coincidence that the first of any of these kind of mails I received was this one. looking back I still can't comprehend or believe it. At the time I thought I was to become a billionaire. In my manic mindset more strange things started to happen such as a lightning strike at the moment when I mentioned to a Jewish friend of my parents that it was my mission to get rid of Mugabe ( by getting the media and politicians involved) and that he looked as if he just saw lightning strike. I am not going to write about this more now since it is a too complex mix of reality, perception and coincidence to do so and you must be thinking that I have a Jerusalem complex or something. But did you know that as one Indian astrologer/numerologist told me that Robert Gabriel Mugabe (born on February 21, 1924) has - as you would call it a mazzal - or horoscope that absolutely gives him the inclination to stick to power no matter what ? I don't really remember which planet is involved but it has to do with the 21 = 3x7 and the 1924 = 16 is also 7, and these sevens with the 2 of february also make 7 you see !
But now what ? why am I telling you all these things?
He says only G'd can remove him from power.
I think, that you have to be careful what you ask for.
I feel that it is really the ' end of the world' down there.
First the whites come, they do some good, they do some bad.
The locals become autonomous and mess up.
What should the West do?
It is as if things gone full circle.
Seems like the end of history to me.

Do you know about these Tribes?
Did you know Zimbabweans are really sweet people? They deserve better.
Sometimes I think we are all living in Zimbabwe to a certain extend or will be soon if i think about inflation and the rise of the anti-terror police states world wide.

O yeah, one last thing; most absurd is, they are all billionares now in Zimbabwe since a loaf of bread is half a billion. You see reality and insanity, who can tell?
