Will ALL Jews be redeemed and are ALL Jews safe?

Postby davidgold on Thu Jul 02, 2009 2:44 pm

Throughout this forum you write many many times about the fact that ALL Jews will be redeemed etc. etc. You state this in the name of the Rambam, the holy Lubavitcher Rebbe, and other tzadikim.

Several people raised the question that maybe many people will die or get killed and Moshiach will gather ALL the Jews that remain. You replied and answered that this is not the case because only in Egypt 4/5 (80 percent) died but now EVERYONE will be redeemed.

You also state that the Holy Rebbe has said that we've already suffered enough in this long exile and that the geula will be be-rachamim and that we should be confident in this.

My questions are:
1. We see for a fact that many Jews die or get killed every year from many sicknesses, tragedies, wars, bombs, etc. so how are you so sure that in the next 6 months or so there will be no major pandemics, wars, bombs, and thousands will die or get killed?

2. Millions of Jews got killed in the holocaust even so only in Egypt 4/5 died but now EVERYONE will be redeemed and ALL Jews will be saved. How does that coincide with the teachings of our holy rabbis that only in Egypt 4/5 (80 percent) died but now EVERYONE will be redeemed.

dude you have to understand many rabbais say there will a last war and that 2/3 of the world will be destroyed, the all jews will be saved is mostly backed by noam elimelech and the lubavitcher rebbe who held all the jews will be saved and no gog umagog but other rabbais like the chofetz chaiim said that gog umagog comes in three stages first two were two world wars and third is yet to come personally i prefer to hold like the noam elimelech but what can you do if so many jews are assimilating and not keeping shabbat you got to remember that as long as we do our best and keep the torah to its fullest extent i believe all rabbais would agree that person would be saved so it depends who you follow really

Teachings of Noam Elimelech

I read that Noam Elimelech does not say that all Jews will be saved. On the contrary.
Noam Elimelech says as follows:

Before the Geula, the leaders and successfull Jews will be the RESHAIM and the Tzadikim will be the oucasts (as is happening in Israel today). The Reshaim will be the "fruit of the nuts" whereas the Tzadikim will be the "shell".
Then comes HASHEM and throws away the fruit (kills the Jews that are reshaim-EREV RAV majority) and keeps for himself the "shells" in order to maintain them for the GEULA.

During the time of YETZIAT MITZRAIM, only a fifttieth of Jews came out חמושים יצאו ממצרים. However bear in mind that the KOHANIM and LEVIIM were on a class of their own in that they did not suffer the events preceeding YETZIAT MITZRAIM. So, if the events are meant to repeat themselves today, then the Jews that will be redeamed would be KOHANIM and LEVIIM that keep TORA values and are either outcasts or well to do Jews. The rest of the Jews who will be redeamed are those that learn TORA and keep MITZVOT and are most probably outcasts in the current world and generally suffer.
The Jews that are very much TORA minded and are well to do are saved by their clinging to the TORA because if they were not clinging to TORA values then they will suffer much with poverty etc.

I think praise must be given to someone that is well to do and is completely TORA minded and is not a KOHEN or LEVI. They must be really serious learners in TORA.
I have seen many such people. They have learned GEMORA for many years several pages every day. Totally devoted to HASHEM. They have MIDOS. They will be protected from the events preceeding MOSHIACH. But they are unfortunately not too many.

I believe that whatever happens, we need to do teshuva because that is a sure way to be redeemed and merit the geula.

Things that we could all work on are

Middos,
Prayer
Emunah
Learning
Ahavas yisrael
Joy with mitzvos
Appreciate what we have

If you have more tips, by all means :)

It's always good to do tshuva again and again (each time on a higher level) and always good to work on ourselves. But be aware that the Rebbe said that Moshiach is not being delayed because of lack of tshuva or because of lack of anything else. What is left to do is to prepare to greet Moshiach, and the Rebbe explained that the fastest way to do this is by learning about Moshiach as discussed in all parts of the Torah, especially Chassidus.

Living with Moshiach. Hashem has already made Moshiach a reality, now we--from our side--have to make Moshiach a reality. :)
